The Congruent Triangles

Catatan ke-14

A. Triangle
Triangle is one of plane figures. The requirements for the congruent of two triangles:
  • The corresponding sides have the same length; and
  • The corresponding angles have the same size.

B. Example
See at the figures below! The triangle ABC and the triangle DEF. Determine whether the couples of the following triangles are congruent or not?

Answer:
  • First, let ΔABC and ΔDEF. If ΔABC is moved to the right as long as AD. So, ΔABC will closing ΔDEF with exactly.

  • Second, the requirenments for the congruence of triangles.
    • Solution for the lengths:

      • AB = DE
      • BC = EF
      • CA = FD
      • I got that the corresponding lengths are equal.
    • Solution for the angles:

      • ABC = DEF
      • BCA = EFD
      • CAB = FDE
      • And also, I got that the corresponding angles are similar.

  • Last, because the requirements for the congruence of two triangles fulfilled,  I can say, ΔABC and ΔDEF are congruent ΔABC ΔDEF.
